The World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) intends to examine the doping case involving Ukrainian national team and Chelsea winger Mykhailo Mudryk once an official verdict is issued by the English Football Association (FA).
WADA President Witold Bańka said this in an interview with Ukrinform, noting that he does not know when the FA’s disciplinary decision regarding the Ukrainian player will be delivered.
“First and foremost, we are waiting for the disciplinary decision in his case (from the English Football Association – ed.). As of today, we do not know when it will be issued. Then, in accordance with the anti-doping code, we will request the player’s documentation and decide whether we agree with that decision. We may file an appeal in two cases: if we consider the decision too harsh or too lenient,” the WADA head stated.
As reported by Ukrinform, the Ukrainian national team and Chelsea winger Mykhailo Mudryk had confirmed his positive doping test.
