
Neil Crompton has been appointed as the new British ambassador to Ukraine.
That is according to the UK government’s website, Ukrinform reports.
“Mr Neil Crompton CBE has been appointed His Majesty’s Ambassador to Ukraine. He will take up his appointment during October 2025,” the UK government said.
Crompton joined the UK Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office in 1995 as a Senior Research Officer in the Middle East and North Africa Group.
Previously, Crompton was Ambassador to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia from 2020 to 2025. Before that, he was Director of the Middle East and North Africa Directorate from 2015 to 2019.
On September 10, British Ambassador to Ukraine Martin Harris announced the conclusion of his diplomatic mission.
