Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha held a meeting with the Norwegian Parliament’s Committee on Foreign Affairs and Defense in its new composition following recent parliamentary elections.

According to Ukrinform, he reported this on social media platform X.

“I thanked Stortinget for its previous important decisions to allocate powerful aid to Ukraine. We count for the continuation of this vital support at the level of $8.5 billion in military-technical and civilian aid in 2026,” Sybiha wrote.

He added that the parties focused “on global diplomatic efforts to achieve a just peace, accountability for Russia’s crimes, security guarantees, bringing back Ukrainian children, and increasing transatlantic pressure on Russia.”

“We also discussed steps to bolster Ukraine’s resilience, particularly in the energy sector ahead of the winter season,” diplomat noted.

He expressed gratitude for assurances of continued unwavering unity and solidarity in support of Ukraine and presented Committee Chair Ine Eriksen Soreide with a Certificate of Honor from the Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine in recognition of her outstanding efforts in supporting the people of Ukraine.
