Five people were injured in Dnipropetrovsk region overnight on October 8 as a result of Russian attacks.
According to Ukrinform, this was reported on Facebook by Serhii Lysak, Head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration.
“Overnight, Russian forces struck Kryvyi Rih district. First, they hit Zelenodolsk community, then launched a massive drone attack on Novopillia community,” Lysak said.
A man and a woman were injured and hospitalized in moderate condition. Fires broke out but were quickly extinguished, Lysak noted. Infrastructure in the area was damaged.
“Nikopol and Marhanets districts also came under attack. The enemy used Grad multiple rocket launchers, FPV drones, and artillery,” he added.
Three more people — an 18-year-old woman and two men aged 26 and 45 — were injured and hospitalized. A fire broke out and was put out by rescuers.
Damage was reported to a business facility, a religious organization, 15 private houses, a five-story apartment building, three outbuildings, six vehicles, and a gas pipeline.
“In Synelnykove district, Mezhova and Pokrovske communities were hit by drones,” Lysak said.
A fire broke out on the balcony of an apartment building but was extinguished. One private home was partially destroyed, and six more were damaged.
Lysak added that Ukrainian air defense forces shot down 29 Russian drones over the region during the night.
As reported earlier, on October 7, Russian forces shelled a State Emergency Service unit in Nikopol, injuring a rescuer.
