The reference is to the Russian Scientific and Production Center for Unmanned Aviation Systems and Robotic Complexes NPTs BASiRTK, which presented the interceptor drone.

According to Militarnyi, the drone is built on a typical interceptor layout: four engines and vertical take‑off. The published video shows only its flights, specifically horizontal flight and hovering.

The device’s technical characteristics are not described, but its purposes are named: the Russian army plans to use the interceptor drone for monitoring the maritime situation and infrastructure.

New Russian drone resembles the Ukrainian Sting

Importantly, conceptually, the UAV is similar to the Ukrainian interceptor Sting. There is a high probability that the enemy, when creating similar interceptors, may have borrowed certain design solutions from Ukrainian models that have repeatedly proven their effectiveness.

The Ukrainian Sting is a classic quadcopter design with a large dome rising above its center, which houses the warhead and a camera.

The device is controlled from the ground using VR goggles that give the operator precise visual observation during flight. The drone is equipped with a target‑guidance system that uses artificial intelligence.

Recently, Sting demonstrated its capabilities in Denmark, when Ukrainian operators successfully shot down several drones in the air that were simulating a threat.

The “opponents” of the Ukrainian Stings were Danish Banshee drones.

Recall that Ukrainian drone technologies have attracted the interest of many countries around the world, including the US. The National Security and Defense Council (RNBO) recently stated that Washington intends to purchase a large number of Ukrainian drones for significant sums.

It was also reported that Ukrainian developers from the Dyki Shershni group developed an interceptor drone capable of reaching altitudes of up to 11 kilometers.
