Today, October 24, from 07:00 to 23:00, hourly power outage schedules are being implemented across twelve regions. New Russian strikes have caused electricity disruptions in several regions.

According to a statement posted by NPC Ukrenergo on Facebook and reported by Ukrinform, the outages are a direct result of damage caused by a large-scale missile and drone attack on October 22.

“Today, from 07:00 to 23:00, twelve regions are subject to hourly electricity outages, rotating through 1.5 to 2.5 groups at a time. During the same period, power consumption limits are in effect for industrial and commercial sectors across all the territory of Ukraine,” the statement reads.

Ukrenergo noted that due to new Russian strikes, several regions were left without power by morning, including the Sumy, Zaporizhzhia, and Dnipropetrovsk regions. The situation in the Chernihiv region remains particularly challenging. Emergency repair operations are ongoing in all affected areas.

Electricity consumption as of 06:00 on October 24 is consistent with the previous day’s levels. However, the daily peak on October 23 was 2.6% higher than on October 22, attributed to a reduction in the scope of scheduled outages.

Ukrenergo continues to urge consumers to conserve energy: “If you currently have access to electricity, please minimize the use of high-power appliances until 23:00.”

As previously reported, Russia launched a large-scale overnight attack on October 22 targeting Ukraine’s energy infrastructure, including generation facilities, distribution systems, and transmission networks.
