Ukraine’s preparation for winter and strengthening energy resilience were discussed during a meeting between Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko and German Energy Minister Katherina Reiche.
“Germany is strengthening the resilience of our critical infrastructure and is contributing EUR 60 million to the Ukraine Energy Support Fund. These funds will help deliver generators, energy equipment and mobile thermal power plants more quickly,” Svyrydenko wrote on the Telegram channel.
It is noted that the parties discussed Ukraine’s preparation for winter and strengthening energy resilience, and also agreed to create a joint working group on energy and expand industrial cooperation.
“A Ukrainian-German business forum will be held in Berlin in December, which can become an effective platform for new partnerships between our companies. We proposed Germany to conclude an intergovernmental agreement to support investors – according to the model already implemented by Denmark, the Netherlands, France and Switzerland. I also thanked Germany for its active position on the use of Russian assets,” the prime minister wrote.
