Over the past week, the aggressor has carried out three attacks on the gas infrastructure of the Naftogaz Group. One of the group’s thermal power plants was also affected on the night of October 15.
According to Ukrinform, this was reported by Naftogaz CEO Serhii Koretskyi on Facebook.
“Over the past seven days, Russia has launched three massive attacks on gas infrastructure. And last night, one of Naftogaz Group’s thermal power plants was hit. The enemy struck gas production facilities in the Kharkiv region. Before that, the enemy had targeted gas infrastructure in the Sumy and Chernihiv regions,” Koretskyi wrote.
He stressed that all these facilities have nothing to do with military targets, and that the Russians’ goal is to deprive Ukraine of gas, heat, and light in winter.
As reported, the Air Defense Forces destroyed 86 of the 113 drones that the Russians used to attack Ukraine on the evening of October 14.
