The large number of Ukrainians in Poland is a challenge. Poland has already taken in enough Ukrainian citizens and cannot accept more.
That is according to Marcin Przydacz, Head of the Bureau of International Policy under the Polish President, Ukrinform reports.
Speaking on RMF24, Przydacz said that the large number of Ukrainians in Poland has become “a challenge.”
“When the scale of refugee intake exceeds the country’s capacity for adaptation and inclusion, problems start to arise — and Poland does not want such problems,” he said.
“We already have Ukrainians at the limit — we cannot take in more. It’s time to focus on integration, and that process is under way. But we must not allow separate enclaves to form,” Przydacz stressed.
As Ukrinform reported, Polish President Karol Nawrocki recently signed, on the second attempt, a law on assistance to Ukrainians affected by the war, after vetoing an earlier version in late August.
Currently, about one million Ukrainian refugees from Russia’s full-scale war remain in Poland.
