Due to the Russian attack, as of the morning of October 8, users in several regions are without power, and hourly power outages are in effect in the Chernihiv region.

According to Ukrinform, this was reported by NPC Ukrenergo on Facebook.

“As a result of enemy shelling, several regions are without power as of this morning. The situation is most difficult in the Chernihiv region, where the local power company is forced to implement three simultaneous hourly power cuts. Emergency repair work is ongoing. Energy companies are doing everything possible to restore power to all consumers as quickly as possible,” the statement said.

It is also noted that electricity consumption remains high: as of the morning of October 8, it remains at the level of the previous day. The reason for this is the cloudy weather with rain in most regions, which leads to low efficiency of household solar power plants.

“The need for economical electricity consumption remains. Please do not turn on several powerful appliances at the same time during the evening hours of peak load on the power system from 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.,” Ukrenergo advises.
