
Air Defense Forces destroyed 154 of 183 drones used by Russians to attack Ukraine on the evening of October 7.
According to Ukrinform, this was reported by the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Telegram.
Starting at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, October 7, the Russians attacked with 183 Shahed and Gerbera strike UAVs and other types of drones from the following directions: Millerovo, Kursk, Bryansk, Orel, Primorsko-Akhtarsk (Russian Federation), as well as from Hvardiiske and Chauda (temporarily occupied Crimea). About 100 of them were Shahed drones.
The air attack was repelled by aviation, anti-aircraft missile forces, electronic warfare, and unmanned systems units, and mobile fire groups of the Ukrainian Defense Forces.
According to preliminary data, as of 9:00 a.m. on Wednesday, October 8, air defense forces shot down/neutralized 154 drones in the north, south, east, and center of Ukraine.
Twenty-two strike UAVs were recorded hitting 11 locations.
The attack continues, with several enemy UAVs in the airspace, the Air Force warned.
As reported by Ukrinform, Russian invaders attacked one of DTEK’s thermal power plants, injuring two power engineers.
