The Agency for Reconstruction and Siemens Ukraine signed a Memorandum of Understanding during the Ukraine Recovery Conference 2026 to promote the development of modern, resilient critical infrastructure.
The State Agency for Reconstruction and Development of Infrastructure of Ukraine reported the agreement, according to Ukrinform.
“Today the Agency for Reconstruction is implementing a project to build a decentralized heating system at one of the facilities in Kyiv. In such projects, Siemens equipment and automation systems can help make solutions more reliable, efficient, and cost‑effective for the state budget,” said Head of the Agency for Reconstruction Serhiy Sukhomlyn.
The document provides for cooperation in the following areas:
- introduction of modern technologies at critical infrastructure facilities;
- automation and digitalization of infrastructure processes;
- development of electricity distribution systems, data transmission, and cybersecurity;
- exchange of international experience and best practices;
- harmonization of technical standards, particularly in the energy sector;
- improving energy efficiency and infrastructure resilience, supporting low‑carbon development principles.
The head of the Agency for Restoration thanked Siemens Ukraine for its readiness to contribute to rebuilding Ukraine. Sukhomlyn stressed that it is important not only to restore damaged infrastructure but also to create modern systems capable of operating effectively even under wartime challenges.
Siemens Ukraine supplies equipment, technologies, and integrated solutions for key sectors of the Ukrainian economy, including industry, energy, transport, and healthcare. The company was established in 1997, following the operation of Siemens’ official representative office in Ukraine from 1992 to 1997. Its central office is located in Kyiv, with regional branches in Lviv, Odesa, Dnipro, and Kharkiv.
