The Ukrainian Volleyball Federation has officially appointed Jakub GÅ‚uszak as the head coach of the women’s volleyball team of Ukraine. The President of the Federation emphasized that this is a very important step for the further development of the team ahead of upcoming competitions.

39-year-old GÅ‚uszak will replace Ivan Petkov, who successfully led the team to victory in the Golden European League, but his contract has ended. Currently, GÅ‚uszak is also working with the Polish team ‘Radomka’, which is in 5th place in the Polish championship.

GÅ‚uszak has experience working with the national teams of Hungary and Poland. He led the Hungarian team to the playoffs of the 2021 European Championship and is currently preparing the women’s team of Ukraine for the 2025 World Championship. The Ukrainian team will be in a group with Japan, Cameroon, and Serbia, who are the current world champions.

After this tournament, the Ukrainian volleyball players will compete in the Golden European League, where they have already been champions twice. This is a big challenge for GÅ‚uszak, but the team has the potential to win a third title in this tournament.

The last tournament for the Ukrainian team under coach Ivan Petkov was the Golden European League 2024, where the team finished in 5th place. Now all eyes are on future performances under the new coach, and fans hope for success.
