Kosovo U17 gives up a two-goal lead, loses to Ukraine

On Wednesday, Kosovo U17 had a two-goal advantage over Ukraine of this age group, in the first match of the first round of qualifications for “Euro 2025”. 

But in the match that took place in Genk, Belgium, Kosovo U17 led by selector Arbnor Morina suffered a 4:2 defeat at the end of the match. 

Rin Ahmeti and Lirjon Abdullahu scored for 2:0 in the fourth and 12th minutes. 

But then, the young “Dardans” suffered quick goals and were defeated. 

Dmytro Zudin scored in the 16th and 25th minutes, while Pavlo Liusin scored in the 24th and 62nd minutes for the first victory. 

Kosovo U17 also has host Belgium and Kazakhstan in the group. 

The top two of the group advance to the second qualifying round of next year’s European Championship, which is organized in Albania, from May 19 to June 1.
